At its core is Sage, an AI coach trained on global career frameworks that is available 24/7 and personalizes every session to the user's stage and goals. The platform also hosts live mentor sessions, structured 90-day goal systems, and peer mentorship circles matched by industry and life stage.

What We Were Up Against
The talent gap in Africa is not a shortage of ambition — it is a shortage of access. Existing coaching and mentorship platforms are priced for Western markets, built for large organizations, and disconnected from the African career context. Ascentor needed to feel premium and credible to experienced professionals while being genuinely accessible to a 22-year-old NYSC graduate in Lagos navigating their first steps.
How We Solved It
We built three distinct frontend experiences within one platform — matching the Explorer, Builder, and Climber user journeys with tailored onboarding, content, and mentor recommendations. Firebase handled authentication with Google, Apple, and Facebook social sign-in. The Sage AI coach was built with a multi-step conversation model, remembers user context across sessions, and generates 90-day action plans. Mentor profiles, live session booking, and weekly circle accountability feeds completed the product.
What We Delivered
Ascentor launched to founding members with all three user tiers active, social authentication working, and Sage delivering personalized career plans from day one. The platform is live at ascentorbi.com, serving users across Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, with a founding mentor roster of experienced professionals investing their time in the community.
